Sound pretty good. I would think it is worth more than that in parts alone. Lets see here. Dana 60 front easily work $1k. Your motor if running good is probably worth the other $3k. Not to mention the rest of it.
Just how much body damage are we looking at? If the body was in good shape, I've seen these trucks go for as much as $15k with the same mileage.
The more I think about it, it sounds like you got a smoking deal. Barring any major problems that is.

Yeah I 'm pretty stoked with the deal. I've been looking fo a new truck for over a year and never seen one in this shape with 180K on it fo less than$7000 . I bought it when I was at home in WY for the hollydays, I feel petty confident that if it dose not work out for me for some reason that I can take it back to reno where I'm live 'in now, clean it up and sellit for at least $7000.
The body is not to bad the its just the bed is beat ot all heck. it was as ranch truck . and the bed lloks like they forgot to put down the tail and pulled away form the goose neck trailer. and both sides hve big old dents in it. but the cab is nearly dent free. so I think I'll be looking for truck in the junk yard that had a good bed.

I bought it from a local dealer that I know they got it on trade when a rancher got 2 new f-350's { I called the rancher and he said he'd never had any problems with it}but to the dealer it realy wasn't worth cleaning up no the outside in time for them . so when I walked in and took it off the lot of 4000 we were both pretty happy, they wanted 5800 but I never offer what they want.

now Im gonto take it to a shop and get the tany fluid changhed and allother fluids rear diff and such, ang get it a good looking over. hopfully it turns out to be agood deal I dont see how I could lose, like you said its wouth 4gend in parts.
