Unhappy Temperature Temp Guage Gauge Gage

I have a 1996 f-150 302 the temperature guage doesn't work. where is the sending unit for it. HELLLLLPPPP!

Driver's side of the intake manifold near the distributor and behind the a/c compressor. One wire attached to it.

i checked the wire and i have 3.7 volts at the end. i did the check where you ground out the wire to the frame and the guage din't flinch. now what???

I read in an old post, that the one described there was the one for the computer.
there is another plug for the dashboard one.

i tried both of them just for kicks and neither of them had any influence on the guage. is 3.7 volts enough??

The reason why he said something was because he felt that watching those things bounce on his screen while trying to read was troublesome. You are new to the site (welcome!) but please relax. We're not a very hostile group here, we are very nice and this site is very well organized (unlike other forums you might use). So try not to take it so personal and shake it off. He's not trying to offend you. Thats some of the trouble with words on the internet, you can't tell his tone of voice. So whenever you read something, take a step back and think of other ways he could be trying to tell you something. You might take it in a bad way, when he ment it in a friendly way. Know what I mean?
