Whats up everybody! I have a 2002 F-150 XL 4.2 V6, and I am planning on changing out the old door panels for new ones that have auto windows and locks on them. Does anybody know if the rails and window are one piece or are they are two seprate pices? Would the installed wiring harness support electric windows and Locks? And Has anybody ever done this before???
Because in my head I am thinking it may be as easy as buying new panels, hooking them up to the exixting electric harness, putting in the needed fuse and going for it, but I know things usually are not that **** and dry with this type of stuff so I just wanted to get some feedback before I jumped head first into this project! Thanks for looking at my post!
Well, I have no idea. The only suggestion I can give, is to buy a Haynes manual and review the electrical as well as the interior section on how to remove the door panels.
Thanks, for the suggestion, I actually do have a Haynes manual, I will go look in that to see if it has any answers. I am sure it does due to the manual being for "Ford expiditions, 5.3s, and 4.2s. I will keep you up to date on the project!
