Hey all.. Need some help with the door harness on my 92 with power locks/windows...
I removed a power door from my 90 bronco and the complete harness disconnect s with two conectors inside the jamb/kick panel area... This doesn't seem to be the case for the 92-96 set up...unless I am missing something , there is only one disconnect in the harness , the rest runs up the pillar and across the firewall leaving me unable to disconnect the door harness..
I thought of fishing the door harness out and into the new door but the switch plug is too big to fit through the hole...
Do I have to dissect the harness and some stays in the door and some has to stay on cab side? ???

Well upon further searching it seems for some reason the harness runs across the firewall and there is a disconnect on the pass side...
This still seems crazy to me... to remove a power door your choices are to cut the harness or pull the dash ...I still think I'm missing a trick

 

no your not missing any thing. In 1992 they went to only one connector on the Pass side. Probably because of that big Aluminum bracket that holds the steering column. It sucks for sure.
