problem for a 6.0L?
The truck (engine or trans) "burps" (more a pulse than a shudder, and not a serious "buck") several times in the first second after you take your foot off the accelerator following rapid acceleration (to roughly ~30-40mph). This seems to ocurr only when you floor it and then completely take your foot off the pedal AND the transmission hadn't yet reached overdrive. If the truck is in overdrive it decelerates smoothly. The transmission was in normal mode (i haven't tried this in tow mode). Is this to be expected or is it an indication of something that should be addressed or can be improved?

I'm being outdone here...
I don't have the 5spd automatic transmission, but ya'll that chime it may even edumucate me. (one with a 6spd)
First thing I'd ask is, "What speed does the overdrive come on and go off?" Right around 40-43mph? If you're accellerating hard through the gears then let off right where the computer figures it's supposed to conserve fuel, Do you think it's slightly possible that for that split second that it may shift to OD? But.. you've let off the throttle, and it may actually down shift again? So there's a series of shifting, or not quite shifting, that happens unneccessarily? Is this possible?
Could this be driver induced? Does that make it a design flaw? Run me hard and yank back on the reins, and I might buck too.
I think it best that those with the auto transmission reply to this. Is it normal? I dunno.
