Tow Mode - unusual shifting
Today I was towing my 20x8 enclosed trailer (~5k LBS) using the tow haul mode. I put my foot down to pass another vehicle and the truck downshifted as it should, however the transmission wouldn't shift back up when I let off the accelerator at cruising speed. I was cruising at approx 60-65.
I tried taking it out of tow mode, still no up shift. I had to bring the vehicle to a stop and then accelerate back to cruising speed and things now seem as they should.
What could cause this and does anyone think this could be a real issue?
Thanks.

jlalanas: I experience the same thing at times. I had my dealer check my trans fluid for any signs of degradation or if they need to change and flush the system. They tell me it's "like new, leave it alone".
There are times it seems to get stuck in 2nd or 3rd gear and I have to fight it to upshift into 5th so I can relax and go down the road. I can't explain it either but this "weirdness" seems to be normal.
