Can someone tell me what size flare nut wrenches do I need to get all my brake lines off my 1987 XLT Lariet 4x4. ( It is Canadian made)
I will need to be buying the wrenches but don't know if they are metric or SAE.
Any advise would be helpful.

Since you probably drive on salted roads there is a good chance no matter what you do, the lines will be destroyed getting the lines off because the nut will be welded to the steel line because of the salt.
Really soak it in PB Blaster, apply a little heat if you are replacing the wheel cyl. anyways, and use with a good flare nut wrench or a good crows foot wrench to remove the fitting. Wiggle the fitting back and forth while spraying and do not try to twist it right off if it is stuck, you will crack the line.
Snap-On is one of the best choices for these tools, but, since you are asking the question I would assume you need it for a one or two time use, so I would go Craftsman and skip the cheap ones at Autozone. Northern Tools sells them an inexpensive set, though I have not bought the flare wrenches from them.
Thanks for the replys.
Yes, I imagine too all the brake lines will have problems in getting them off. The Truck came from Iowa and there is alot of rust. So that is the reason I thought I should replace them all. I don't want future problems especially stopping.
Thanks for the info.
