Previously I Requested Some Intake Info. I Am Looking For More Help On What I Can Do To Improve The Performance Of My 66 Ford W/out Changing The Engine.
Check the second 'sticky' from the top in this forum. A lot of people here have been over this info. I'm gettin' ready to build my 300, thanx to all the info I get here. Real quick, I guess the biggest improvements relate to breathing: dual exhaust manifolds or headers, 4 bbl intake with small 390 or 450 cfm carb. I've heard mixed reviews on clifford, you can get an Offenhauser intake much cheaper- JC Whitney , Summit, Jegs, they all carry 'em.
thanks for the feedback. i'm looking forward to rebuilding my 66. clifford mentioned a 4 bbl floods cylinders 3 and 4. what do you think? i wanted to mention that i also have a 1992 ranger 3.0 with 260,000 miles on her. i still hang with many with this peppy 6. all but 7000 miles are mine. thank you ford.
