Mental note: Daryl is normal when denied access to a calculator.

On the lighter side, I have never had the turbo bark or fart as mentioned. I hear the same sounds my 7.3 used to make……the rolling “clakity clak” when I lift on the peddle. No mountain passes here, so I will try that in Pennsylvania next summer.

Loving the cold weather idle strategy and how much quicker the 6.0 comes up to operating temperature over the 7.3

Now you must have had it.....have you been wide open and jumped off the throttle real fast....I have never known a 6.0 without it....OK do you really have a 6.0 maybe someone changed the oil and popped in a strong 7.3...all joking aside is it possible to NOT have the bark??

ahh could this be the problem that i am experiencing now??? I just picked up my '05 and i notice that when i get on the throtle especialy from a stand still and it still happens when rolling.... i let off the gas quickly i here this weird noise... hard to describe... It sounds as if the intake is sucking in air, or almost like a blow-off valve of some sorts... its weird... Is this a problem?? can it be fixed????? Or is it just a charecteristic of the engine that has to be dealt with???

thanks

Kevin

I roll off the throttle instead, must be from my racing days, any time I do come off hard the sound I get is like an F-16 making a fly-by from the turbo....but no bark.

Kevin if you listen close what you might be hearing is the turbo spooling down.

Tim, I don't get the noise y'all are talking about.. Maybe this is linked to my exhaust problem? I have romped it several times and when I let off just the regular sounds.
