Not sure if I should have tagged into the last thread I started, to follow up on this. New news from Ford though.
The problem I descibed earlier of: ascending a grade (load) at low speed in my 2005, 6.0 PSD. Remember the miss and bark? It happens when the turbo boost gauge reads right around 15. Well, a mechanic at the dealer where I bought my truck called my house the other day, while I was at work, and talked to my wife. He wanted to know if I was happy with my truck and if I was having any probs. Good service eh? Well, the wife said that I loved my truck but was experiencing the problem mentioned above. He said that they know about this, Ford was aware of the issue and has determined what the problem is. As it turns out, it is a software issue. He said that a fix is scheduled available on the 15th of January 05. Just sharing info if anyone is interested.
Tim
I have a 2003 and it has never barked at me. Somehow I can’t get the Nutty Professor (Jerry Lewis) out my head when I hear the phrase (Ford Techs) are working on a software upgrade for this problem.

Oh no, I didn't need that picture. I hope not. Get the truck back and the bark changes to a howl? Noooo
I believe that this is the same problem that I refered to in my post "cutting out in overdrive" and in enomra's post "engine flutter". I'm supposed to take mine to ford tomorrow. They think it's two fuel injecters but I don't have much confidence in that. I will take a copy of your diognosis to show them. By the way, the first time they said it was a software issue with the ficm and reprogrammed some stuff. All it did was make the truck louder at idle, smoke more, and did not fix the "bark-miss issue.
