Hey maticuno, You and i got the 98' 2.5l we're lucky we get a good old 120hp. Too bad we didn't wait till 2001 and get the 140 some hp new 2.3l . thats dissapointing
Ford's numbers on my '94 2.3 say 98hp. It does NOT like hills but, with the 5 spd manual, it's really not a problem. 0-60 doesn't have much meaning to me, since the only time that would be relevant is if I were stopped on a highway and actually needed to hit 60 right away. Yeah, yeah, I know it's only a yardstick, but by the time I get to where the speed limit allows 60 or more, I've gone through all the 25,35, 45, 55 signs, and I'm rolling pretty well. Hopefully, it's not uphill or into the wind.

Do the performance mods I've done and then buy a Diablo chip and you'll probably have that 140HP.
Well, to tell the truth, I need this info for a little legal problem and I would like too prove a stock ranger could not get too 85 in a given distance.
Also do you guys know any place like road and track that would have these specs.
Thanks.

Well, the problem with that being it's really my brother's truck and I was just using it for about 6 months till I got my truck back on the road, the second problem we could not use this ranger, when I was using for the time I did some mods and it is capaple of getting too those speeds, but this a little more than just a speeding ticket I'm trying too get reduced.
The 90 reg cab long box 2.3, 4x2 5-spd I used to have, by a stopwatch was around 10-12 seconds(it's been a while since I had that truck). It would easily whip my buddy's full size blazer with a 305. I thought the 2.3 was a decent little motor, but it had a hard time once you started to load it down. I had it topped out at around 105-110, hard to be exact sinec the speedo only goes up to 85.
