I love it in my Bronco!
Some hints:
if you get it installed..check out the shop's rep...get a good warranty..ask them if they use electrical grease on the connectors..do they protect the wiring with sleeving..fuses?..etc.
and they should install a safety shut-off switch under the dash or in the dash so it can be serviced or shut down when not needed. and appropriate labels on the rad support or hood to warn service people of the auto start feature.
good luck!
Seek out a long range model, up to 1000 ft. Some of the 400 ft low priced models are only usable to start the car in your driveway at home, i.e. 50 to 100 ft. If you want to start the car from the office, look for the longest range models, and they will always come with a mini rigid windshield receiveing antenna, instead of a 8 inch dangling wire under the dash.
I install remote starts all day. You won't find anyone who uses greese in all connections but you might find people to solder all of the connections. there is nothing to worry about it is a really easy car. but do have a pro install. I recomend the Viper it has a life time warranty, They will also pay for anything that the alarm breaks.
