Speedometer messing up..
Has anyone had a problem with their speed ometer ? Mine just started messing up. It quits working at 30 mph or less.. Just drops off or down to zero.
This is a 1999 F-250 diesel 4x4..
Any suggestions ?

You may want to check the VSS (Vehicle Speed Sensor) on top of the rear diff. You can take it out and clean it and see if that works or just replace it. I bought one from the dealer at $24. It only has one bolt holding it in and has a magnetic pick-up on the bottom that sometimes get metal shavings covering it. It has one plug for the wires. real simple. This may be it or not. Just a starting point.
