I heard that some full size cars in 1973 that came with a fmx tranny and a 400 had the 302 bell housing bolt pattern. If it is true I bet it stumped a few!

Yep. '73 was the only year the 400 had a 302 style bellhousing pattern.

there you go, and the 255 existed 80/81/82 model years.

and the 289 got the 6 bolt bell housing beginning the 1965 model year.
edit: now after reading the whole thread I notice all those have already been stated.

the 410s bore x stroke is 4.05" x 3.98"...the 406 is 4.13x3.78
the 427 is 4.23"x 3.78", the 428 is 4.13" x 3.98", and the 429 is 4.36" x 3.59"

according to the "Ford High Performance Engine Parts Interchange" book by SA Designs.

-there is one piece of info inaccurate in this book, they state the SBF used 20oz imbalance in its early years, when it was 28oz...so I take it all with a grain of salt, but most everything Ive looked up on the internet to double check has been accurate.

fe 352 pruduced through 1965

The FE 352 engine was produced at least into the 1965 model year. My brother has a 1965 F250 with a manual trans that has a 352 engine in it

Most of the information is in the first post... I try to edit it every once in a while to update or change things.

If you have a specific question, feel free to post a new thread and we should be able to answer in short order.

Ive only seen 1 factory Cast iron 2 4 barrel intake, it was a 390 in thunderbird. i forget the year , but i saw it at the reckin yard bout 4 years ago. it was stamped with serial numbers and everything . but thats only time ive seen it...
