Hello:
My 92 aero has had a stalling problem for a few months now..It does it when its cold and when warmed up. Sometimes it will start right back up,other time i have to give it a hour or so.When it will not restart i have listened for the fuel pump and it is running with key on. The problem has increased in frequency in the past few weeks.I have replaced the ignition module, did not help. Will a bad ignition coil will cause this problem? I am about to roll it off the nearest cliff!!!! please help. Thanks.
I have had a problem like this on my 1991 4.0 a few times, first time it turned out to be the fuel pressure regualtor, the vacuum line to it had fallen off, next time it was the injectors playing up, added some good quality injector cleaner, another time I found a burnt out wire connector in the two big block connectors above the engine, the burnt connection was for the injectors, I cleaned up the terminals and added some electrical contact grease and have not had any of the problems again, that was a few months ago now.
