Elf does it again

i said Elf not Alf the shaggy whatever it was last lived in a garage in a Television series.

E L F stands for some kind of " enviromental @@@@@ @@@@@" cant think of the groups whole name.

so they set a few SUV's on fire over in pennsylvainia, since SUV's are such gas hogs and bad for the envoiroment. GEZZE i wonder how much polution they created by burning them !! probably did a favor to the dealership though, then they just claim then and not have to worry about selling them.

they have claimed responsibility for all sorts of arsons on auto dealerships, ski resorts, animal farms. these have got to be the dumbest people alive. fortunatly they havent killed anyone yet and when they do they will probably find some way to justify it.

reminds me of the animals rights activists who released thousands of minks that were being sentenced to death as a fur coat ( boo hoo ) only to realize that cage riase minks dont have survival skills ans either died on the highway next the the farm, or simply STARVED TO DEATH. I HATE STUPID PEOPLE.

DONT EVEN GET ME STARTED ON TREE HUGGERS ( im the grim reaper when it comes to forestry )

Elf does it again

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 04-Jan-03 AT 07:17 PM (EST)]I read an article on www.auto.com about a soccer mom who traded her Navigator in for a Toyota Hybrid and she was encurraging (I can't spell tonight) others to do the same. My ! They'll have to take my Explorer from cold dead hands!

I hope these dicks that are burning SUVs are locked up for good. I remember seeing somewhere about some wackos that were burning people's houses who built where they thought was harmful to the environment. I have no use for these people. And you can't bet they aren't about to stand up for a worthy cause like protecting the unborn. The enviroment and animals have more protection then humans do! :-X23

Elf does it again

Earth Liberation Front, Proud of themselves for being environmental terrorists. They've done quite a bit of damage here in MN, including that mink stunt. Most of the mink went home at dinner time though, at least the ones that didn't get run over.

yeah, their actions dont seem very rational.

ok, so SUV's pollute the enviroment. they use gas. so does a honda civic. so if a SUV lets out this much <--------> bad exhaust, but setting a SUV on fire ( upholstry, tires, paint, plastic) creates this amount of bad fumes <--------------------------------------> where does their reasoning come from?

theyve also claimed responsibility for torching construction equipment. what sense does it make to burn a vehicle? for every vehicle they burn 2-3 more will be made to replace it anyways.

ok, so now some activist is apporaching my TRUCK ( v-10 ) with a tiki torch to set it on fire, well, do prevent <----------------> <---that much toxic fumes from a burning truck, why dont i used a BULLET like a .223 caliber that makes <--> that much smoke and just drop the freak in his tracks??

they also place 3 cans of gas under other vehicles that DIDNT ignite. you know some gas station clerk will probably narc out one of the "elves" ( plural for ELF activist )and hell squeel on all the other "elves" then get sent to the pen to be someones girlfriend (willingly)

Elf does it again

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 04-Jan-03 AT 08:24 PM (EST)]I have very little tolerance and use for these people. These ELF's are just idiots. Just let one of those wackos come near my truck. Then they will see what a 6'3" ragin redneck will do . I agree with BuiltToughF250. They burn what they see as a gross polluting SUV. It's just common knowledge that burning plastics, seat cushion foam, and various lubricants and refrigerants (A/C) releases toxic gases. I guess burning it makes less emissions than if it stays running. What a bunch of morons.

Another example of open minded and tolerant liberals in action. Got this out of a British newspaper. Of course the British paper got it wrong. How does ELF splashing acid on SUVs sour US passion for SUVs? If anything it sours support for ELF and their twisted cause.

Acid attacks sour US passion for 4x4s

Duncan Campbell in Los Angeles
Friday November 29, 2002
The Guardian

No vehicle in the United States provokes greater controversy than the sport utility vehicle (SUV), the bulky four-wheel drive that has sold in record numbers. Now it has become the target of acid-like chemical attacks by environmentalists.
More than 30 SUVs in the Richmond, Virginia, area have been attacked with chemicals and hatchets over the past few weeks and had their tyres slashed. The initials ELF (Earth Liberation Front) were found after some of the attacks.

In a statement posted on its website, the ELF said that although it had "not received a communique from the cell operating in the area, graffiti and notes left at targets are legitimate claims of responsibility and indicate the Earth Liberation Front is involved in these actions. ELF actions are a reminder to SUV owners of how their personal choices affect the society and environment in which they live".

The ELF said that the SUVs were targets because their drivers "contribute to the degradation of the environment at a much greater rate than those who drive smaller vehicles - or don't drive at all".

A total of 3.8 million SUVs were sold in 2001, up from 2.8 million in 1998. There are now 20 million on American roads.

Environmentalists claim that they pollute the atmosphere at a rate five times higher than that of ordinary cars, use 33% more petrol than smaller cars and are anti-social because it is harder for other motorists to see past them on the road.

They are also three times more likely to cause fatal injuries in road accidents because they are so heavy.

I always love to celebrate Earth day by driving my truck to a forested area and cutting down a big tree with my Stihl 44.

Burning SUV's? More proof of how wacked out they were. If they were sincere about the environment, they would've recycled them.

speaking of flopping a tree for earth day.... i do tree removal. me and my brother were doing a large trim/removal job for a townhome community in Minnesota. not a big deal right? WRONG.

a tree the manager TOLD us to remove was a willow tree, grew abnormally. two of three sections of it were HORIZONTAL. ( 1 )you have to be under 5 feet tall to walk under it. they streched 25-30 feet into someones yard, ( 2 )not allowing sunlight in for healthy grass, ( 3 ) not allowing people to mow the lawn under it, a very big EYESORE.

now, willow is a ( 4 ) SOFT wood but has some weight to it. ( 5 )so lets just say "little jonny" is bouncing on this section that "suzy" is under, when it snaps under the weight. obviously, suzy, if still breathing would never walk right to say the least. so its a safety and a liability issue now. ( these people DID allow their kids to play on it, good parenting right? )

so we do what we are told and cut it down. person after person after person came out running and screaming at us. i explained calmly the five main points listed above. they dont care that suzy would be a cripple if it fell on her, they just liked the way the tree looked.

some woman the next day came barking at us ( she was a mangly looking species to say the least ) " i have a degree with horticulter and work with the forestry department, that tree never had to be removed just trimmed, you just cost us $20,000 worth of property value, now my 3 year old son cant sleep at nice cause he has no where to play, SOMEONE IS GOING TO BE LOSING THEIR JOB OVER THIS, IM CALLING THE MEDIA !!!!!! "

AT THIS POINT IM LAUGHING HYSTERICALLY. lose a job? we own the company !!! THE MEDIA??? yeah im sure even the media doesnt have anything better to cover.

sorry about the long post ive been wanting to get this out for a week now!!!! I HATE TREE HUGGERS !!!!

You know the only good ELF is a Lord of the Rings Elf. Burning down SUV's is about as smart and honorable as doing things like spiking trees and bombing abortion clincs. You may not agree with a policy or law but take the legal steps to change policy.

The only way to get through to some of these idiots is to speak to them in their own language. Send a couple of rounds downrange when they come down the drive way.

Seems to me that lighting my Truck on fire in my driveway might just catch my house on fire and endanger my life justifying the use of lethal force.
