right now i have a 10k w/ a switch.... i don't have gauges yet... would it be ok to swap it out for the 4.7K only if i use it occationally... like for 5-10 second burst every now and then?? or should i hold off?? thanks in advance!!
I was using my 4.7 at very short intervals but switched it back out for the 10. I didn't want to chance it. Turbos are way to expensive for me to take that kind of chance.
yea cookie is right.... you eather installed them in the wrong way... or you didn't make good contacts... go back and fiddle around with it... i got lucky cause mine worked on the first try... also... how are you installing them? i would go through the purple gasket thing on the top and carefully slide the wires in... makes for much better contacts...imo...hope this helps!
This is what I did. I thought I would try the basic setup to see how it worked then if I was happy with the results i was going to assemble with a variable resistor and switch in the cab..
I soldered a 5inch piece of wire to each end of the resistor and routed the wires into the connector as shown with the leads bent then reconnected. Tried several times with no luck.
I'll give it another try tomorrow. I just don't see how I wansn't making a connection seemed to be pretty secure
