I use a Milmaukee 18 volt. Yes it will remove lug nut if they arent rusted on.

I have done work with both a late model stock car team and a legends team here in Charlotte, NC. With both teams we were using Snap-On cordless impact guns. They work great for getting the lugs close to the point that you need them at, but we still went through and torqued all the lugs since we had time before each race. During the races though it is a whole different story when it comes to torquing the lugs. Basically then you just get them on as fast as you can and hope that they are tight enough. We would just make sure the batteries were charged before the races that we would need them for. Spare batteries are a great thing.
