Hello, A guy is selling an EFI set-up from a 87 5.0 mustang. I'm wondering where could I get a download for the electrical and vacuum diagrams for this vehicle? I'm also wondering if anyone knows if the 87 5.0 (not an HO) is mass air or speed-density? thanks for any replies..If aquired I would like to attempt to install in my early bronco.
Got this from the classic Bronco Forum.
"use a GT-40 lower intake with either a GT-40, Cobra or Explorer upper intake, with 88-93 Mustang computer, harness, TB and MAF."
This is what a lot of guys there run. I am working on parts still to put a 89 5.8 EFI with ZF 5spd in my 68. The fuel injection forum has some great posts on what to rum for MAF.

thanks chuck, do you know if the GT40 style is found on HO 5.0? I might have to find what you suggest because the intake I'm intrested in throttle body faces drivers side. I think it will interfere with the brake master/booster assy. Is the GT40 found on all HOs and do they face passenger side?
I believe they came on the newer model Cobra Mustangs, and some explores.
Check out classicbroncos.com, they efi forum here, and the 302 forum here. You should be able to find just what you are looking for.

The 87 Mustang is speed density and very functional if left close to stock form. Use all of the wiring and ECM from donor car and will integtate easily to the stock loom. You will need some extra relays, fuse blocks, and modify the fuel system. www.fordfuelinjection.com is a great start for info.
thanks again for all replies, as always someone here always clears the air for me. I gonna start reading those forums so I can better understand what came with what on which type motor on what year and hopefully put a working combo in my vehicle.
The 87 motor is Speed Density. I installed a 87 Mercury Cougar 5.0 in my 66 and absolutely loved the results. I feel like the speed density engine is fine unless you really need the power of the HO. Remember, the HO has a lot of top end power, not very useful unless mud bogging. The speed density engine has great low end and is a much more plentiful engine. Crown Vic's, Lincoln's, Marquis, Cougars, and T-birds used this engine. Just goto a local junk yard and see how many late 80's are there with EFI 5.0's, then see how many Mustangs are sitting around! You'll get my point. This site has a tech article on a 5.0 swap into a 66 pick up, which is similar to the Bronco,(at least itwas in my 66 Bronco), and Auto Zone's web site has some good downloadable wiring diagrams. Bronco.com also has some good tech articles.
And ofcourse these guys on this forum are extremely helpful.

The 86 and the 87-88 Federal Emissions Mustang and Lincoln LSC 5.0's were speed density and HO (87-88 Calif received Mass Air Flow systems).
In my experience with these engines, you can't tell much difference in performance between a stock SD and a stock MAF 5.0 HO engine. Both have incredible throttle response off idle and will spin quickly to 5500 rpm (I believe they're rev limit is about 5800). While the MAF system is more precise, I feel that the speed density engines have smoother idle characteristics and are less touchy in lower rpm crawling.
You can try fordfuelinjection.com for the diagrams. That is where I got all my diagrams. There is also alot of useful info about swapping into other applications.
