our 99+ trucks fly by wire, but why is it some drive easier than others?
Mine feels like for the position of the accelerator pedal it should be
easier to keep speed, but ya gotta keep on putting the pedal down,
and down. Is there a throttle position senser in the pedal assembly that
can go kinda bad but still work? Truck has fair power, but it seems like it
takes a lot of throttle.
Are you meaning you have to push the throttle alot to get it to come off idle???
there is a mod called power pedal believe that is the name. If you look at the throttle pedal you will see a little micro switch attached to it, and you can hear it click when you push the pedal down. Bend that little tap so that you hardly have to move the pedal to get a throttle response, but make sure you still hear it click, that micro switch controls the idle verification circuit. mine used to jump right up to 1500 from idle before i did this.
or it could be you throttle position sensor going bad, which requires you to replace the whole pedal asembly.
i think I saw the tab up in there its kinda shiny, felt real thin and it was like 3/16'' wide
by maybe 1/2'' or 5/8'' long, is this it? Now the switch is behind it? So I would need to
bend the tab towards the firewall?
