got this code and my gas pedal is twitchy when at crusing speeds and only applying a little pressure on the pedal. I keep my foot steady but it keeps twitching a little, would this be the correct part to fix this issue?
Depends on the year model of your truck. IIRC, there was point that 2000-2001 trucks could have either the separate IVS/TPS sensors on the pedal assembly, or the integral "all in one" switch with single connector. The easiest way is to look at the pedal. Mine has a build date of 10/2000 and has the integral sensor.
Is this the unit I should've looking for? Seems like I might have to buy the whole unit? I tried to look it up by part number on there couldnt find anything or its for a different car
Looks like you have the power adjustable pedals. I've never dealt with the sensors on those. It looks different than the fixed pedal systems and would require changing out the entire pedal assembly. You may be able to convert it to the less expensive fixed pedal one, but I'm not sure.
Does it seem to work fine at higher speeds when held steady? Have you tried cleaning the connection?
Does setting your cruise control to the same speed cause you to get the "twitch"? If it doesn't do it with the cruise control "on", then it is most likely a TPS problem. The other way to diagnose the problem would be to hook up a scan tool, i.e. Auto Enginuity, that is capable of monitoring the TPS voltage and look for the fluctuation.
The Ford part number is most likley on the tag, (shown in the first pic) with the bar code on it, at the pedal end.

in cruise control it doesnt not twitch, and the scan tool gives me the pedal sensor code. so it seems to be pointing to the pedal sensor. ill try to check on monday at the junk yard where i bought the doors for my truck, hopefully they have the assembly for cheap.
my engine light comes on and off here and there, might event be a connection issue somewhere, i tried to disconnect and connect the plug and still same.
It should be. The mounting position, bolt pattern, and electrical connection are the same. I just researched both in my Ford manual. Looks like a direct swap. You would leave the adjustment cable disconnected, that's all.

I looked at one today, mounting location is same but plug connection was different, ill look at some other junk trucks if I get a chance

Did you contact a Ford dealer? Give them your VIN and see if there is a recall, I really thought I remembered the adjustable pedal trucks having a recall out for them, I guess I'll try to see if there is an active recall on them for sure.

didnt know there was a recall on this, there should be some kind of site where you can just go an put in your VIN or select model year and model and it will tell you what recalls your car has and then you can call dealer with VIN to ask if those things were fixed on the car under the recall.
i think i might have fixed the throttle issue, ill have to look into it further, but maybe just maybe one of my fuses was loose and thats what was giving me the issue, but ill need more time to see if the problem returns, it kinda comes and goes.
