hi, i'm looking to buy a edelbrock #1411 do i need both the edl-1495 and edl-1483. the truck is a 1986 f250 4x4 460 engine 4 speed manual the intake is the performer 460 2166 everything is stock but not the intake. my old carb is leaking gas
Mike,
According to Edelbrock's website you do need both. I am running the same intake manifold but with a Edelbrock #1406 600 CFM Carb on a 1985 F250 7.5L 460 Dually Flatbed. So far I have not had any problems. I might switch to a #1411 for the extra CFM'S when I start towing my RV. Make sure you pressure test your fuel pump and install a fuel pressure regulator if you put out more than 5.5 PSI. I have spoken to Edelbrocks tech support on the phone and they are great people. I was missing a Step-up piston and a metering rod out of my #1406 and they sent me one free of charge. They are a class outfit.
Go to www.edelbrock.com for their phone #'s.
