this is getting ugly
drop of the truck on sunday to the dealer again
call them yesterday, nothing was done to the truck
so i called fmc, file anoterh complain against this dealership
called them back again today, the svc mgr did not want to call ford engineer down to check the problem, he said is a normal sound
thas is so funny, first of all i did not have it when i got the truck
second if is so normal, why did they try to fix it for so many times?
replaced the windshield and re-seal it 3 times?
well i told fmc they need to buy back my truck.
it will take 5-7 days for the board to have a result
if not lemon law here it comes.
thanks

took the truck to another dealer
suprise they said is not normal sound
also whoever installed it seems they where doing it for the first time
however ford could not authorize them to work on it
have to take back the original dealer that install the windshield
love to see the svc mgr when i show him the repair order is not normal
also contacted my lemon law attorney
they said either ford buy back or fmc will pay me for all the trouble i went thru
and still keep the truck
hornestly i don't want to keep the truck
forgot to mention it leaks from the back window now
also in for second time for brake vibration
let's see what will happen
thanks

is coming from the windshield due to inproper sealant
i had mine back at the dealer 7 times
change the windshield twice
still no luck, and dealer to me is normal, (funny)
so i took it to the lemon law
is in the process now, almost been a year
you guys should save all the service order and file a lemon law against ford
thanks

Hi folks. I've had my '04 F-150 for obviously 4 years. The noise is the front cowling vibrating against the windshield. I've had mine replaced and it still does it. The only solution I've found is to run a bead of black silicone along the cowling and the windshield. This does work, but has to be redone every 6 mos. or so. At least until I find a better quality silicone. I learned this trick approx. 2 years ago right here on this site. Good luck!

Smile Wind Noise In Windshield Fixed For Good!

I have a 2005 F-150 which had a real bad wind noise in the windshield area. I duct-taped the entire top of the windshield and the noise went away.Eventually my dealer noticed the silver duct tape and offered to put in a new windshield. It was only marginally better so I duct-taped it again. The noise disappeared again. Finally I was lucky enough to get a rock in my windshield and had to replace it again. This time my glass installer put a rubber gasket in at the top just like they used to before Ford tried to save some money. There is no wind noise at all now. There was no extra charge for the the rubber gasket either as it is quite cheap.
