Can anyone tell me if there is any difference in the frame design on the 2004 ford f150(new style) over the 2003 ford f150(old style). Im wanting to know more on the front then the back, so if anyone knows it would be helpful and thanks.
In 2004 they redesigned the WHOLE truck from the frame up. The 2004 Heritage edition was the same as a 2003 frame. 2004 to current F150, use the same frame.

The frame is totally different. The new generation trucks have a fully boxed frame front to rear, outboard shocks in the rear, I beleive that the fron suspension has been redesignd too. I had a 99 F-150, and now have an 06, Its a world of difference between the 2 trucks. I love my 06 and I really liked my 99. I never thought I would like a truck like I did my 99 but I love the redesigned F-150's. If you are tossed between the 2 trucks go wit an 05 or above as some of the 04's had issues. Thanks guys and the reason I asked was that I own a 2004 and bought a snow plow that came off of a 2003 f250 and didnt know if there was that much difference between the frame design on those two trucks and it now looks as if they are but I still think I might be able to make this work, well atleast I hope.
Yeah the 250 has a different frame altogether. It may be better to just get a mount kit for the truck and keep the blade, although you should check the maf. to make sure the plow you bought is not to heavy for your truck. You may find the the front end will squat quite a bit too so you may want to look into a leveling kit.
Thanks again and ill go with just another mount for the front in of my truck, ive installed a 2 1/2 leveling kit to the front as well as a set of timberns so im hoping that will hold it up for the most part, thanks again guys
