Here are a few things I did in my spare time. Basically stuff I did over the winter to kill time and stay out of the house where the wife was.

Made a tilting front clip.
Installed a mini spool.
Moved the rear axle shock mounts up for more clearance.
Did a rear shackle flip and removed lift blocks.
Cut out rusted floor pans and welded in new 1/8" steel.
Made a sheet metal hood scoop.
Fuel injected exhaust flame throwers.
Installed wheel well lights for night time crawling.
Lots of body work.
Replaced axle & t-case seals.

This winter I'm re-wiring the whole electrical system, building a roll cage and thinking about either gull-wing doors or suicide doors just to be different.

I think so. She was there last time I looked.

Actually, her horses take up WAY more time and money than my truck does, so she doesn't complain too much (about my truck anyway...).

Kevin, did you buy the kit for the flame throwers or make it? I've been talking about doing this a long time now but wasn't sure if they really kick out a decent flame. That would be too much fun!

Good luck. I've been looking all over for one of those . . . they don't seem to exist. Shackles and hoods I have plenty but those virgins are a rare breed.

Ivan,

The kits suck. They cut out a few plugs and dump unburnt fuel down the exhaust. Unfortunately, they also let that fuel wash down the cylinder walls and into the oil. I had mine that way for about a week and only got backfire-like flames. Changed the oil and it stunk like gas big time.

Mine is home made. I have two coils, a relay and a condensor hooked to a toggle that generates the spark, and a momentary switch that opens the fuel solenoid and turns on the aux. fuel pump. Fuel is injected into the pipes about 8" from the tip with nitrous fan spray nozzles. The plugs are about 1-2" from the tip.

Unfortunately, while I was waiting for some parts I gutted the interior of the truck to start on the roll cage and haven't tested the complete system yet.

I have an article on my website that details the electronic setup. The rest I got from this place:

http://server.scripthost.com/wwwboard?woodguy

I've been messing around with this on and off for a year or two. Tried all kinds of stuff. Some worked and some didn't . Haven't blown myself up yet either. (emphasis on YET)

Thanks! I take that as a huge compliment coming from you.

I take tons of pix as I do stuff but I put them on my website. I'll try to get a bunch in the gallery.

Kevin, I was telling Pro about how I was going to make a tilt front end soon here for my truck as it SUCKS to get to the engine now. I showed him your gallery and he said "holy $%#@". You've done some killer stuff to that truck . . . I love it! Keep me posted on progress with the flame throwe. I've been talking about doing that for a LONG time but wanted to wait for my new exhaust first.

headers, 3" tube exhaust, race bullit "mufflers". Also have some cutouts in before the mufflers when I want to scare the natives.

I'm probably going with Stan's headers since my fenderwell exit plan won't work. Still not sure if I'll do the bling bling electronic cutouts or get the regulars . . . too many options.
