5x5.5 ...5x5 ???
Anybody know the 5.5 is for? Does it make a difference between 5x5 and 5x5.5? These rims dont have markings on them. All I know is that they came off an F150. I'm thinking of getting them for the bronco, which still has the stock rims. which I do not know what the size are? I'm alittle loss where to size up the rims? Thanks in advance .....thecos

The size is 5 by 5.5. This means 5 lugs, and if you measure from the center of one lug, skip the next one, and measure to the center of the lug after the one you skip, it measures five and a half inches. Thus the 5 x 5.5. Ford had that same lug pattern for years, except for some F100 trucks in the beginning of the 80's. When the new body style came out in 97, they changed to a metric bolt pattern. They won't work on a Bronco.

The 5.5 actually means if you draw a circle that passes through the center of each lug nut, the diameter of the circle will be 5.5". It's tough to measure that on a five lug wheel, but the easiest way is to measure the distance from the lug to the center of the wheel and double it.

I actually have one of the 5 on 5" wheels in question - a relic and an oddity to be sure. If your wheel comes from an F-150 from 82-96, I'm sure it will fit the Bronco as they are both the 5 on 5.5" pattern!
