The BASF plant in Huntington, WV makes "Dye pigments" for paints, dyes, and plastics, etc....!

I've heard it is a german based company and the letters BASF are derived from the founders names, though how many I dont know probly 4. I also remember those tapes and commercials. seems like there was an indy car way back they sponsered too...

I wonder if all my old unused BASF cassettes are worth anything now...probably less than I paid for them! Used to be all I'd buy. This is interesting, I never knew they made anything else.
