Anyone use a Streetpilot III deluxe or the Streetpilot 2610 ? If so how do you like them?
I've been using a SP III voice GPS with color screen for 3 years now on motorcycles and cars/trucks, and am very happy with it. My older version has been improved over time (especially the feature that now includes a downloadable CD of nearly every road and address in the States. My version had "regions" I paid extra for- a real pain!). My only other complaints have been the very tiny buttons to control the many features of the unit, and the slow speed when the unit had to reroute because of a deviation from the previously picked route. The new generation 2600 series has several improvements, including the "touch screen" features, and supposedly faster speed. I admit I havn't handled one yet, but the specs look real good, for maybe $100.00 more (online prices). I doubt if I'd want to buy a previous generation computer from 4 years ago, would you? Of course one of the best features of any of the portable units is that they move from car to car. We even take ours on vacation and fire it up in rental cars. Nice products! Good luck.

This is new from Garmin and lots cheaper than the Street Pilot. Comes with the road map installed and will also accept the Blue Charts for use on the boat..
