bendix steering rebuild?

I have power steering. I'm not sure what you call it. It is part of the drag link. It has the actual drag link, then the power assist or what ever it is called, then it has a ball joint that hooks to the pitman arm that goes to the gearbox. I was looking for a new ball joint,but all I could find was a ball joint rebuild kit. My problem is I cannot get it apart. There are 3 long bolts holding the 3 of them together. I did get that apart but when you get to the balljoint, it has a long bolt coming out. Any ideas on how to change the balljoint using the rebuild kit?

76Crew, that is a different system vs 2 x 4, i'm lost as i'm into 2 x 4, sorry.
I hope you have a Ford box as the Bendix in 2 x 4 is a leaker. I gave up on my Bendix and it's like new inside. Carl.......o&o>.............
