another, but different level kit question

OK, before anybody gets mad, I did a few searches and looked for about 40 minutes to find another post where this was mentioned and I came up with nothing.

ok, on an 04 FX4 crew cab, I am going to do a level kit in the front. The truck is brand new and with the FX4 package it has Rancho Shocks. Is it safe to say I can keep the shocks and just add the leafs? Or do I need to replace the brand new Rancho shocks?

If you stay under 2" when leveling you can keep the OEM shocks. If you can afford it upgrade to the Bilstein shocks for a much better ride.

When the truck gets new shocks they will get Bilsteins... Right now the ride is perfect.
