Predator Question

I am going to take one of my batteries out to do a mod. Do I need to put the stock tune back in before doing this? I know, stupid question but I don't want to screw something up.
Thanks

One of your batteries? You have two or more in your car?

Either way, you can take the car battery out and the tune will stay. It is burned (written) into non-volatile memory in the EEC. However, if the battery is out long enough it might clear the adaptive learning memory. No big deal.

PS. No such thing as a stupid question. This message board isn't one of those that will bash newbies. You should have seen the newbie questions I posted back when I was driving my Ford Ranger then my Ford Expedition.

I just needed to remove the drivers side battery for a few minutes so I could get my AIS filter housing out. Didn't need to take out both batteries. Thanks for the reply.
