Did 67-72 F250 4x4's ever come with a T-case support/brace rod like the later highboy trucks? My 70 has a rod that the last owner installed and my 68 parts truck has nothing bracing the T-case.
As far as I am aware, none of the F250s had a torque rod on the T-case assy from factory.
If you wouldn't mind, can you send me a pic of the one you have. I have been considering fabbing one for my pick-up. Thanks
Take a look at my Gallery. I just put in a couple of shots of my '77 F250 showing a support/brace on my NP203 TC. Sorry they're not the best shots! If you want a better look to help you w/building one for your truck, let me know and I'll shot closeups for you.
I own a 77 highboy as well and the support rod for it extends from a bracket mounted to a cover on the aft of the transfercase to a bracket riveted to the frame crossmember in line with the forward rear spring hangars. The brace on my 70 goes from the transmission crossmember to a piece of angle bolted to the dana 24's PTO cover. I will try to take a picture of it.
