I'm new to the site and enjoy all the information that I've gotten. Just bought a 76' highboy, no rust, strait body and nice interior. The 360 was shot, no big deal had a old 390 for it. Now I'm building a 390 for it now. Should done in a few weeks. So my question is on the t-case brace that go's form bottom of case to cross member should there be a bushing at the case where the brace bolts to the bracket? I would post pictures but don't know how.
I dont think so,kinda crude. Do you have an auto.I just purchased the bracket for my manual.I have to make the diagonal bar.Just sort off stabalizes. Welcome to fte great folks
Yep, the stock one looks like a 12 year old built it. Mine had some sort of rubber bushing where it bolted to the crossmember. No bushing at the T case though.
Yes it look like a 12 year old built it.my truck is a manual so I have to refab it anyways to short. Thanks for the info. Co425 do you still run one on your truck? Looks like it would help on joints. All automatics highboy had them and not manuals?
