hi im new to the van forum. I know a guy who has a 93 ford van that he wants to give me for free, the van is in decent shape, but the motor needs some serious TLC. one thing is a cracked exhaust manifold. so I was wondering if there was a company who made headers for a 93 ford E-250
What engine is it? Some have had good luck with sqeezing mustang shorties in their 302 powered ones. But the 351 and 460 don't allow enough room between the doghouse and engine for headers.
Don't give up before contacting Thorley. They have a set for my 1995 E350 /460 that are supposed to fit but I've not bought them yet. They're widely used in class C motorhomes.
Have you checked directly with Sanderson? Their street rod "blockhuggers" may fit the van.
What did Ford do diffrently on the 93 compared to earlier years when plenty vendors have ones that fit??
In '92 there was a complete redesign of the entire vehicle, from the ground up. The wheelbase stayed the same, but the rest of the chassis is different as is the body. To get at the number one sparkplug you have to remove the passenger side wheel, and hope you don't break the wire getting it off. The pre '92 vans weren't as bad space wise around the engine.
