does anyone know of any books or websites where I can find specs/detailed instructions for making conversion plates for motor mounts and how much of my heater box to cut and how much to curl my firewall etc to rig my 87 ranger for a 302?

you might want to look into a james duff conversion kit
they specialize only in ford rangers/broncos.

I'm basically done the conversion. I found the MRE website very useful. It gave me everything I needed to know so thank you. for anyone else who's doing the same conversion, I suggest you check it out.
