Truck cap + sliding window
Yea I know it sounds spoiled of me to ask this, but I am anyways.
So we have a 6.5' bed and want a cap for the top. We also have the automatic sliding glass window. Is there a cap that has an automatic window as well ? We are trying to get some cold air from the cab into the back area for our dogs in the summer time, and thought well what the hell we just paid extra money for an automatic sliding rear window why not see if one is out there for the cap as well.

Do you haul your dogs on laong trip sor is it mostly just short jaunts and what not. Reason I ask is I have developed a cooling system for the dog box that I haul my bird dogs in, but it isn't worthwhile to deal with when you only use it when going to the lake or whatever, but if you are going to have them in thier all day or half a day then it would be a worthwhile idea.

Another thing youcould do is just leave the window on the topper open all the time. If you have the little inner tube thing in between the truck and topper it won't hurt anything at all.

I've heard that the rubber doughnut's will rub the paint off (how I don't know, cause it just covers the glass.). But apperently, foam "gaskets" from a slide in camper, will not rub paint. They can be bought at a RV place that sells slide in campers. Or so the internet says. I've yet to find one, and the only one's I've seen are on campers, which the guy bought 30 years ago.
