I have a couple of bad rock chips on my truck that I wanted to take care of. I got the touch up paint from the dealership to take care of it. Then I seen this product advertised on the internet somewhere. I went and order it and couldn't be happier. I just put paint on the chip this morning and now used this product to remove the blob that forms. I can't even see where the chip is now. I couldn't believe this would work so good. I would recommend this for anyone that wants to do a cheap and quick repair of rock chips. I bought the whole kit which comes with the prepaint, blob eliminator, and sealer. It is kind of costly at $39.95 for three small bottles but I think its worth every penny.
In the BMW Z3 world -- my old stomping ground -- Langka is a byword, and very widely used. BMW uses a very ecologically sound -- but VERRRRRRY soft -- water-based paint on the Roadsters built in South Carolina. (and all the BMWs built in Europe as well). These cars are amazingly prone to stone chips -- to the point where some black cars are said to have the 'starry night' option!
Langka, when used properly and carefully, does an amazing job at filling and touching up small paint chips. I'm glad to see you had success, and that you recommend the product. It is a top quality maintenance product.
Some folks don't like it...at least not initially. Once the touch up paint is applied, it MUST DRY before applying the Langka. Applied too soon to not-dry paint, the Langka will just lift the paint out of the chip. Additionally, care must be taken to use only a minimal amount of touch up paint. Keeping that touch up paint INSIDE the paint chip makes the process work much more effectively.
Langka is great stuff, and I've been using it for six years with great results.
