I want to put my rebuilt carter yfa carb in but i need the proper fitting for the fuel line. It has to have threads the right size but it can't restrict fuel flow through 5/16'' lines.
Here's what I'm replacing (that steel line won't work obviously)
What do you guys screw onto your carter yfa's? Couldn't find that screw on filter anywhere. i also tried all kinds of combinations of keywords but got nothing. Is there a secret solution that everyone with a carter yfa knows?
Here's my "solution"
Is that ok to put fuel line and a hose clamp on? This is after two inline fuel filters. I can't have a leak because it's right over the exhaust manifold.
Yes or no? Thanks
Hey here's a related question:
On my new carb I unscrewed the fuel inlet adapter nut and it looked like the remanufacturing guys had used some kind of red thread sealer or locker or something. When i unscrewed it I was pretty bummed that little chunks might have fallen into the inlet but thats besides the point. Does anybody know what that stuff is and whether I should find some when I screw it in and for the new fuel filter as well? I know it ain't ptfe tape.
