"Egad! $400 for a steering wheel? Is that the economy model?"
Econo billet wheels cost around $200. But wait, the adapter is about $45. What? The horn button is $45 extra? And you don't want to grab a metal wheel in the summer (or winter for that matter), better throw a leather wrap on it too. I don't know how much that costs but you get the picture. It costs some Benjamins to bling out a truck. And if you aren't careful and take 14 years to build your truck, you'll have something that goes out of style. You just keep doin what Kevin does and you'll be fine. Classic don't go out of style long, before it circles right back around to get you..
Himmel:
I have a Nardi mahogany and polished aluminum wheel mounted on a polished stainless tilt Flaming River column mounted in my truck now. Also, the nardi came in 15.4" diameter which seemed appropriate for my truck. Personally, I fell in love with the Nardi when I saw it.
I looked long and hard for a wheel. Followed my heart and knew I would know the correct wheel when I saw it. The Nardi Classico was perfect. Love the wood.
I have a Lecarra 4-spoke wheel with polished adapter and horn button, and charcoal leather wrap. The horn button just covers the big hole in the middle. I converted the starter button into the horn button. AAOOOGA!! The wheel is mounted on a flaming River polished aluminum column. I think there is a pic in the gallery. Simple, but still shiney. John
It's a street machine , phoenix...Ya got your fuel pump, your electric kick down, electric overdrive, electric rad fan, remote start and of course, the power antenna . The single wiper and power cowl vent are in there somewhere, too.
Thinkin' about billet ***** and cherry finish this winter to match the rest of the interior.
