What is the low range gear ratio on the 205?

Speaking of that. Is there lower geared aftermarket gear sets for the NP205??? I believe the factory gears are 1.96:1.

No your final drive ratio would be 8.118 in top gear, and if you don't have a wide ratio gear set in the C6 first is 2.46:1, second 1.46:1
Highboy I read somewhere you can get a 4:1 gear set for the np 205 but someone else will have to chime who makes it, I know I read it in one of the off road rags when discussing rockcrawlers.

Nobody makes a low gear set for the 205 right now. LoMax keeps talking about it as do some others but it hasn't happened and I don't think it will any time soon. Your best bet would be a doubler with the 203 gearbox. Then you'd be at almost 4:1

There actually is a set of 3:1's out for the NP205, but right now it's only available for chevy cases. You replace the case and gears but keep your input and outputs.

Well that settles that. Anyone want to take bets on how long it will take until I'll lose my mind and install a doubler in the Cap'n?

I know there was a company making 3:1's for the 203, anyone know if those are still available? If so that'd be the way to go, don't have to mess with your 205 but get a 2:1, 3:1, and 6:1.

Never heard of a gear kit for the 203 but I would be very interested in it if anyone can get some info. 6:1 would be a CRAZY crawl ratio . . . not like I need it but cool anyway. I could have compression braking with an auto!
