F-350 Highboy ?
Can anyone tell me if they made a f-350 mid 70's highboy?

Not that I know of. The 'highboy' was '77 1/2 and older, and I think the first F350 4x4 was in '79...

Does anyone know for sure?

no such thing as a 1ton 4x4 made until after 77 1/2

uhm...ive got a 77 F-250 cab/box sitting on 74 1ton 4x4 frame

F-350 4x4 wasn't made until 1979.

I looked up the vin when i got the truck...it listed everything F350 4x4, gear ratio..ect i dont recall what year it said but i was told by the previous owner it was a 74 F350 4x4 frame, becuase he had owned it since New, it was a frame off restoration so i figured the guy knew what he was talking about..idk if it is 74...but the frame sure dosnt look like my brothers 79 F350 4x4.

What is the VIN # off of the frame. It could be an F-250 frame.

Where did you get that # from? I think it should be an 11 digit number for a '74 frame. Maybe someone else out there can tell us what that code is and help figure out what you have!
