They are in a sealed hub assembly and not servicable. You have to change the whole thing. They range from around $260-$300 from the various parts houses.
I thought I read somewhere someone had developed a replacement kit or something so you could replace just the bearings . But I could be wrong .
You're talking about the Dynatrac Dana 60 upgrade kit. I'm not sure if they have the kit for servicable bearing out yet, but I know that is something they were working on.
Yeah .... You're probably right bass' , too many things in my limited capacity memory . I know why the manufacturer wants things built like this ( cost ) , but it would be nice if the aftermarket would come up with a better ( cheaper ) alternative .
Yeah, I wish they'd get an aftermarket solution for this out as well. I'm gettin a nice clunkin noise from somewhere in the front end right now. Gonna investigate this weekend. I have a feeling it's either ball joints or wheel bearings.
