It can be hacksawed off in about 10 seconds. Saw it on 20/20 a couple of years ago.

More than one way to skin a cat I guess! Have to test that one.. Think I'll use something other than the hammer though!! My luck, I'd be pick'n tin outta my hide! And, with a Club, a set of bolt cutters to 'snip' a piece of the wheel away and 'away' you go.. Friend of mine was putting a clutch in his Camaro with the trans out and in the garage.. It was swipped outta his driveway, pushed down the street and trailered away.. Pretty bold..

My wife is an insurance agent. She's worked for both AAA and Allstate. She tells lots of stories about folks who were using the club and call for claims on stolen cars.

The steering wheel is a lot softer to saw through than the club

Daryl, you are right. That is what they hacksawed through was the steering wheel. I am getting old and cannot remember everything. They hacksawed through the steering wheel and removed the club that way.
