does anyone here know how to install a kill switch on an 05 6.0????? or is there a fuse i can remove???....theres a big problem where i live about these f250s getting stolen ALOT...
Yes please someone explain more in detail. I had my truck stolen last Thursday, and luckily it was recovered sat morning. All they took was my avic head unit, amp and subwoofer. I was planning when I get it back from body shop getting an alarm, but id like to know what else I can do to stop the thieves.
Just find any relevent wire, such as fuel pump, ignition, etc, and cut it and put a switch in place. Or you could get a pinout of the ECU and get a wire there. Or the wire to the key cylinder(ground) and put a switch in line with that. Or you can get the club? Fuel pump wire runs to the back, grab that one. It may start due to residual pressure, then die in about 100ft.
I would NOT tap into and of the fuel circuits. Running the injectors without fuel is not good for them at all should anything happen. Even cranking the engine without fuel pressure isnt healthy. I just have mine tied into the starter wire with a heavy duty relay and a remotley mounted hidden switch.

What kind/size of relay did you use? Also where could I find one? And did you just attach the red starter cable to the relay and then run another cable to the starter? I assume the switch would just be a standard off the shelf one?
Find the ignition module fuse...get an identical fuse and fry it...when you park, pop the fuse cover and replace the good fuse with the bad one...takes me less than 30 seconds.
The thieves are getting pretty hip to the removal of fuses and relays...so they have them at the ready to pop in if it is just removed...if they open the cover and see all of the fuses...away they go without your truck.
my friends truck got stolen a month ago in houston and he also has an 05 f250 lariat and the insurance payout was only 15k???...is that reasonable??? i think it is was waaaayyy tooo low

Just your standard old 40 amp bosch relay. I used one I had left from a SPAL electric fan kit, but you can get a regular bosch style relay anywehre (advance/autozone have them in the fog light section)
Yeah the switch is just a 30 amp toggle, the relay carries the load so it doesnt have to be anything special.
