If you keep your mileage records as good as I have kept them You notice .001 mileage changes!! 183,000 miles you are going to be real close to the actual mileage you are going to get!! I can tell the differance in 10 PSI in the tires over 600 miles!!

This is crazy........... there are way to many variables and changes in driving conditions to be that exact about fuel milage! And thats a fact.

No, your not going to get the same mileage from every tank. But you can fugure the fuel mileage for the lifetime of the truck!! You just have to keep exact mileage and fuel log!! Which I have done!! Then you can take any section of that and compare it to any other section!!

Yet you still bought a Tornado? Where was your good sense that time? They are a gimmick, they do not work, especially on a turbocharged motor. Please explain to me how making the air in the intack tract spin before it enters the turbo has any effect on mileage or performance. The turbo is just going to break up any spin the Tornado may or may not put in the air, and it still has to go through the intercooler which just straightens the airflow anyway. The next time your looking for blinker fluid or muffler bearings give me a call, I can beat anyone's price and always have them in stock.

That is hillarious, didn't even notice that the first time. They get $70.00 for one of those, what a waste. What's that saying about a sucker born every minute?

So you're spending $70+ for a tornado deal to save on .08 mpg??? How long will it take you to pay for that?? Why did you buy such a big truck if you are so worried about mpg??
What good is knowing a difference in .001 mileage going to do for you?? Do you know what you did when you were driving that gave you the improvement so you can copy the same behavior again and again to continually improve your mileage??
Just from my experience, my chip has improved my mileage from 1-2mpg. But it is not just from the chip, but everything else I put with it. Granted I don't get that every tank fill because I will get on it a few times, and I actually tow with it, not drive it around to see what the best mileage I can get is. Sounds like you need to go out and by an old Geo Metro, think of the mileage you can get on that thing!!

psdpower, mach2161: You Know all!! You are my know all "GOD"!! But wait you don't know a danm thing. So you not my know all GOD. The Tornado don't go pre-turbo It goes post-turob!! What a bunch of idiots!!

farmb0y: I have put 183,000 miles on mobey and I didn't put the Tornado on untill it had 41,000 miles on it. At .8 miles per gallon increase it took 13,634 miles to pay it off at $1.75 per gallon for fuel!! Or about 4 months of driving!! Lets say it works and I am getting .8 MPG better fuel economy. That means in the 142,000 miles after I put it in I have saved $743.00 in fuel savings after the cost of the Tornado!! Lets say it doesn't work I've lost $80.00.

Now I do know of a product that the manufacture claims it improves fuel mileage and I bought it also. It cost me $381.00 it cut my fule mileage by 1.1 MPG. It's called a programmer!! Now that was snake oil I didn't think it would help my fuel mileage and it didn't!! My foot didn't get heaver over the last 83,000 miles than the first 100,000!!

I bought a large truck because I do pull a 10,000# trailer on a regular basis, about 7% of the time!! An because the same size of truck with a gas motor would most likely get 12 MPG!! Between the better fuel mileage and lower cost of fuel I think I have saved about $7,500.00 over a gasser!!

I'm not worried about the mileage but I do keep very good records and it only takes a few munites while you are at the pump to jot them down!!

What keeping good fuel mileage records does help is to know when something might be going wrong with your truck!!

We should all be concerned about fuel mileage on these trucks because we have men and woman dying for the oil that we use!! I have cut my fuel useage by 1/3 over that last few weeks you should do the same!!

I've put all but maybe 500 miles on mobey and I've tried just about everything you can to get better fuel mileage!! I used to work on my own trucks also but over the last 5 years or so I've let others do it for me!! Will be happy to post all 70 pages of mileage records and I wil let anyone see if they can tell where I have installed anything or not!!

If you think you know all, good for you, I still use my good sense to tell me when someone is BSn!! Or don't know his head from a hole in the ground!!
You keep incredible records, have you done that with all your vehicles or just the truck.
What started you… keeping this type of data…curious I am.
