I was just off roading and managed to hit un uncovered rock on the underside of my truck. I ended up bending back the housing that the lower control arm attaches too on the frame rail that is on front of th engine compartment. the housing is not actually touching the lower control arm, but it sure is close. The truck seemed to drive fine, but is this going to impact the movement of the control arm at all since the control arm looks like it is hinged and is supposed to move freely on the front part of where it attaches to the frame.
Similar thing happened to me a couple of months ago. I took it into Ford Service and had them check it out. Good thing I did too because it pushed up the transmission 1/4".
I had the work filed on an insurance claim for comprehensive damage.
