I towed a BobCat a few months ago and it was definitely heavy. Supposed to be about 4500 lbs but that's just what I was told. You could definitely tell that it was back there. All I have is a bumper hitch so I was skeered it was going to rip it off but I made it OK.
Good luck with whatever it is that you are planning on towing,
well i reguraly tow a 7,000 lb scout trailor, on the stock hitch. and it doesnt seem to tow to bad, and it had just made me wonder what the actual cap was.
well when i say ive towed a 7k lb trailor, ive also towed it down mudy trails and up muddy/snowy hills on the trails in 4x4 on a few of the scouts hiking trips, lol they loved it when there was an icy hill, and 2 cars stuck at the bottom, and i was letting my dad drive at the time and he thought it was safe to go ahead and try to go down the hill, as soon he he let off the breaks we slid all the way down the hill taking out the side of the f150 and smashing up the front end of the hummer, luckly it was a military hummer so we didnt have to pay to have that one fixed, but all the damage i got was a broken turnsignal lens( and im still useing the same light) i wish i woulda had my E brakes on the trailer at that time, but i installed them soon after.
