Looking for Info

I own a 99 Ranger and the four wheel drive has not worked properly lately. I have had the vaccum seal hubs replaced as I was told this was the problem. It works for a while and then does not. I am not a big fan of the vacuum seal hubs as of know.........I am thinking of converting to manual lock out hubs and my question is: do they make this conversion kit for a 99 Ranger, can't seem to find out. Anyone have any answers or other suggestions. Thanks

No conversion kit available, as there are no alternative hubs available.

There is a very good discussion on the whole PVH system here:

https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/s...d.php?t=113363

Also, note that you can convert your PVH system to a "constant engagement" system if you really can't stand the PVH system any longer:

(apparently the pics aren’t available anymore)

Welcome to the club....there's probably 100 or more people on here who have had the same thing happen to them. I still can't belive no one sells manual lock hub replacements. Seems like there would be such a market for them, since about everyone who has PVH breaks them.
