Most guys will not reject you outright, if you are just straightforward with him and ask him if he wants to do something with you....work on a truck, go for a soda, take in a movie etc..

If he is at all attracted to you, he will likely agree to one of the above.
If he is not, (unless he is a real jerk and not worth knowing anyway,) he will look for some excuses to try and let you down easy. It's hard to sort out excuses from real life commitments tho, because he might have a girlfriend already.

Pick a spot where you are alone with him to speak to him, if he is in front of his buddies he will be embarrassed and probably say some real dumb things he doesn't mean.

I was never any good at picking up girls. but I married one that pick ME up

Haha bigham I'm right with ya on that one. Even if they did throw them selves at me I'de be too stupid to notice. I agree with everyone else start out slow, like two friends wanting to go out some were, lunch, soda, movie etc. and slowly start doing more stuff together, going for walks, watching sunsets, working on trucks etc., If he is shy you showing some intrest will help out big time, trust me. If hes shy playing hard to get probally wont get you anywere but rejected(see second sentance ,lol). It sounds like you already know him somewhat so call him up everynow and then and ask how his day was and stuff like that.

If you are friends already, then he must know you how you feel, If your really friends then just tell him how you feel, and see where he is with it. I have lady friends and those that are real true friends I can tell them anything. My very best friend is my wife.

Take the chance and just ask him out on a date........you never know....he may say yes and you 2 will have a wonderfull time...Or you may both end up realizing it was'nt meant to be. Either way take a chance, it worked for me.

How old are you. I know that their are some younger people here(such as myself), and a few old farts(haha jk.....). Just make sure to not try to be someone your not. If he really likes you, it won't matter how you ask him out.(Hell, if I could ever get a girl to ask me out, then that would be a step in the right direction).

hey, I don't know what my problem is! my guy friends say that I am pretty, but I have a low self esteem, so there for I am nervous to ask any guy out. Most of the guys I know love me because I am that girl that loves to do guyish stuff but yet they don't like to date girls like me!! I don't know what the problem is!!! But who knows, a lot of the guys I know think that it is cool that I want to go to college to be a diesel machanic! I just don't know, well I think I am just going to ask him to party with me this weekend, and see what happens from there! Thanx guys for the advice, keep the advice rolling in! I can you all of the advice you can give!

There was a thread on here a little why ago "Where are all the ford girls?" I think was the name. I think that if he turns you down you will find about 100 other guys that would take you out.
The only thing I can say is let him know how you feel. If you don't want to just come out and say it then do stuff like lean up against him when you two are standing there. Get close, hug him or just say tell him you think he is hot. I have no clue what girls are thinking unless they make it blunt. Also I'm tired of being the one to make the move becuase as a guy you have to have something really witty to say, girls can usally just walk up and say "I choose you.", and if he has any intrest then he will go with it. Personaly, I ride bulls, skydive, and ride with bob, things that scare the life out of most people, but for some reason I still can't go up and ask a girl out.

good luck to the two of you,
Ethan

That's my situation. I've never had a gal up and ask me out. Though right now I do have a ladyfriend I spend time with, watching movies or shooting pool. Usually the latter.

Oh her profile has her birthday on it - she's 18.

I kinda lucked out... my junior year in high school, I was minding my own business. This one girl that just got dumped by this jack-smack in my class walks up to me and starts talking. Turns out she's pretty upset. I didn't realize it at the time, but I was a rebound guy. It turned out well though, I've been dating her for a year now. I'd say shoot. If a lady shows up and asks a guy, you're gonna get a straight answer, no doubt. If he likes you, he'll say yes.

I would have to say the best thing to do is just go ahead and ask him. To me, that would be better than playing al of those stupid little games that we all so often have to put up with. At least that way you've got a 50/50 chance either way.
Good Luck

If you just go ask him to do something with you, he'll either tell you yes or no, or if he is actually busy he'll try to do something with you at another time. You'll most often get a straight answer from a guy, like people have been saying, be blunt. And if that doesn't work out, I can always use some help on my truck!

Exclamation you guys are great

You guys are great!! Well, to answer the age question I turn 18 in exactly a month today!! But I don't know what his username is!! I wish I did but in class he just showed me his truck, and I totally didn't look at the username!! Well, I guess I am just going to go out and say it to him! The worst thing is that he will reject me and I will feel stupid and never want to confront a guy again!! But I will get over the weirdness of the whole thing and who knows maybe someday he will realize what he has missed and come back! But I don't know!! I just have to face him sometime with the subject! But I haven't seen him since like Saturday! So, when I am prepared to see him he's not there! Well, who knows but you guys are the great thank you so much for all of the advice! That I am going to use wisely!!
