Knock Sensor
Knock Sensor
How do I check my knock sensor to see if its bad-or even if I have on on my '94 F150 with 5.0 engine?? just recently it has been spark knocking under light and heavy acceleration, and I remember reading on here about knock sensors.
I don't even know where it would be, or what it looks like. Thanks!!

k-k-k-k-k-kNock sensor. First find out if your truck has one. I need to find out if my truck has one, I don't think so.
Probably time for some tune-up work. Check your EGR really well. Make sure your plug wires are good and are routed correctly to prevent cross-fire. Fuel filters clean and check fuel pressure.

The knock sensor is waay in the back of the engine, threaded into the block. You can test it by hooking up a timing light, and then tapping on the block with a hammer (metal hammer). If it is working properly, you should be able to see the computer retard the timing.
